Meet Principal Designer Melinda Slater

Melinda has been an interior designer for 19 years. She founded Slater Interiors, now Well-Designed Home, 14 years ago.

Melinda is well-known for her holistic approach to interior design. She creates spaces that support our bodies, minds, and souls, helping us to rejuvenate and restore.

Her passion for wellness stems from her previous career as a massage therapist. In that career, she focused on injuries and hospice care and enjoyed teaching people how they could support and heal their injuries.

Melinda coached her clients on the body’s brilliant design, helping them to stop, listen, and respond. This approach now influences her interior design philosophy. She often quotes the saying, “If you don’t make time for wellness, you will be forced to make time for illness.” Melinda wholeheartedly believes that our homes play a large part in keeping us well.
